Are You Loving Life, or Simply Living it?
Have you ever wondered how ordinary people become extraordinary? How some people just live EXTRAordinary lives, achieve greatness and are LOVING life? What do they do different and how can we apply those principles to our lives?
There are two types of people in this world: Those who are ACCEPTORS and those who are ASKERS. Acceptors accept what life has given them and accept the status quo. You hear them say things like, “my life is going okay”, or “if it was supposed to be different it would have been already.” Askers perceive life differently. They know there is a passion or a dream in their life, something that they are supposed to do, something they are supposed to go after.
Are You destined for greatness?
How does a person know if they are destined for greatness? the most profound way to know if you are on the right path rests within your heart. What do you feel and believe on the inside? It’s a “Faith” thing. It has nothing to do with our external circumstances or the situation surrounding us. It has nothing to do with the economy and our place it it. My economy or “MYconomy” is not affected by the world economy. It starts with us and the realization that we are either Acceptors or Askers. It is an attitude and an attitude that we can change if we truly in the zone of LOVING life.
How many people achieve greatness by stopping before they reached their goal? Who has achieved anything by quitting? The answer is no one. Ordinary people achieve extraordinary things through persistence. All of us are on the verge of becoming great, if we pursue it. God placed something in our heart where we are designed with a plan, for His purpose and for His success. However, the sad reality is that only 20% experience this greatness. Why?
What holds us back
I believe there are two reasons: first is that most people give up too early. J. K. Rowling was told “not to quit her day job” and her book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was rejected 12 times before being published. Is she a great writer? You be the judge. However, J. K. Rowling has sold more than 450 million books, been published in 73 languages, and her books have been recreated into 8 movies. She didn’t quit because someone said no.
The second reason. Some people never start. Somewhere along the way they’ve been taught to never expect very much and that they cannot make an impact in the world. How sad is that? Thomas Edison once said “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” I would like to paraphrase by adding that perhaps our greatest weakness lies in never starting, that we never give ourselves a chance.
Are You LOVING Life, or Simply Living it?
Don’t waste another moment and start LOVING life more. You can find the purpose that God has placed into your heart by following your dreams and your passion. You can achieve greatness and succeed in this world. Don’t accept the status quo and the notion that this is the best that there is. Remove the toxic negativity out of your life.
